Friends of Pangea Day at Creative TreeHouse - 5/10 2pm to 6pm

May 1st, 2008

On Saturday, May 10, 2008, The Creative TreeHouse in Bellevue, PA will host a Friends of Pangea Day event from 2:00pm-6:00pm.

A worldwide initiative, Pangea Day taps the power of film to strengthen tolerance and compassion while uniting millions of people to build a better future. The Creative TreeHouse will enable Pittsburgh to join cities around the world that will be video conferenced live to produce a program of powerful films, visionary speakers, and uplifting music.

Pangea Day was created by award-winning documentary filmmaker Jehane Noujaim in collaboration with the TED Conference after she won the prestigious TED Prize, which granted her a wish to change the world. Together, Jehane and TED have created Pangea Day to harness the power of film to enhance empathy, compassion and peace.

In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that - to help people see themselves in others - through the power of film.

Please join your friends and neighbors at the Creative TreeHouse and be part of this global initiative. There is no cost to attend this event. Please visit http://pangeaday.org for more information and RSVP to info@creativetreehousepgh.com.
